About Us
Garfield1-2323 was founded in 1936 as the Home Corporation and is still owned and operated by the same family. Throughout all the years, Garfield1-2323 has maintained a reputation as one of the most trusted, experienced and recognized names in Northeast Ohio for replacement windows, vinyl siding, roofs and home improvement. In an industry that has seen many home improvement companies come and go, we have not only survived through all years but have been fortunate enough to have grown. Much of our growth and reputation comes from our dedication to employ only highly skilled technicians and craftsmen who treat each and every project as though it were their own home.
In 1958 Jimmy Dudley, Indian’s play-by-play announcer, was hired as the voice of the Home Corporation and helped create the Garfield1-2323 jingle. The jingle is as memorable today as it was in 1958. So much so, that in 2011 we decided to officially change our name to Garfield1-2323.
Garfield1-2323 Highlights:
- 1936 – Home Corporation founded in Cleveland specializing remodeling and room additions
- 1948 – The advent of aluminum siding and its’ popularity prompted us to specialize in aluminum siding
- 1958 – Hired Jimmy Dudley the popular Indian’s play-by-play announcer as our spokesman. He created the Garfield1-2323 jingle which we still use today.
- 1958 – Alcoa chooses us as its’ first distributor
- 1965 – First company to install vinyl siding in Northeast Ohio
- 1968 – One of the first companies to introduce replacement windows
- 1993 – Pioneered Lifetime Labor Warrantees on siding and replacement windows
- 2011 – Changed our name to Garfield1-2323.
- 2011 – What won’t change is our commitment to keeping our promises to our customers.
